LET THERE BE PEACE

During the holiday season we often hear "Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward Men". Oh, if the sentiment carried throughout the year into the hearts and minds of all of our Boards. Many Boards lose sight of the small things they can do throughout the year to bring peace and harmony to their community, Among these are simple acts such as:

  

1.      Open Communication- regular communication and open Board meetings make informed Homeowners and informed Homeowners are happy Homeowners.

 

2.      Regular community functions. Getting Homeowners together for social events is a time to create a sense of community, If your Association is short on funds, you can host events such as "Pot-luck dinners", "Bridge Night", "Pet parties", "Yard sales" etc. Often you can get vendors to sponsor events at no cost to the Association.

 

3.      Using care in all your decision making. Remember it's not what meets your needs but that of the community as a whole.

 

4.      Listen, paying attention to the feedback from the Homeowners is a valuable tool in making the right decisions and meeting and exceeding the Homeowners expectations.

 

You can't always make everyone happy, but following these tips you can please most!
