Happy 2014! With the New Year at hand and new Board Members preparing to fulfill their positions, it's time to set the goals and expectations for the next 12 months. Each Board should meet in early January and decide their plan of action.

Questions to consider during this process are as follows:

1.       What is the Boards main objective?

2.       What are the goals they wish for Management to accomplish?

3.       What expenses can be reduced?

4.       What services can be improved?

5.       What capital reserve items are scheduled for completion?

6.       What property improvements are on the agenda for the

          upcoming year?

Put this plan in writing, discuss at length with your Management Team and inform your Homeowners. This ensures your team is on the same page and understands the timeline to follow. Lastly, hold monthly meetings to review the progress and make sure everyone is staying on task. This will ensure that all goals and objectives are completed by year end.

Here's wishing you a Happy, Healthy and Productive 2014.
