My Punch List Isn't Done!

The Fourth Quarter of every year is CRAZY busy for all Associations. There are Annual Meetings, Budget Adoption Meetings and Holiday Gatherings.

 

It is this time of year that most Homeowners will make an effort to attend one, if not all, of these meetings so they can voice their opinion on various issues.

 

Unfortunately, many Homeowners utilize this venue to declare war on the Developer for incomplete punch list items or construction deficiencies within their home. This is neither the time nor the place for such venting.

 

Unless a particular complaint affects or could affect common elements or limited common elements, these complaints are between the Unit Owner and the Developer.

 

Yes, it is unfortunate that these problems are prevalent throughout new construction communities. But it is important for Homeowners to understand an agenda for the meeting is established in consideration of the tasks completed in compliance with the Georgia Condominium Act and Community Bylaws.  If you have personal issues, be considerate of our homeowners and their time. Don't use these meetings to initiate unproductive conversations. Discuss them in private with your Property Manager, Board  of Directors or better yet, your Developer.
